www.freesciencelectures.com First the DNA Wrapping is animated. The wrapping allows 6 feet of the long DNA molecule to be densely packed into the tiny nucleus of every cell. The process starts when DNA is wrapped around special protein molecules called histones. The combined loop of DNA and protein is called a nuclei zone. Next the nuclei zones are packed into a thread. The end result is fiber known as chromatin. This fiber is looped and coiled yet again leading to the familiar shapes known as chromosomes which can be seen in the nucleus of dividing cells. Chromosomes are not always present – they form around the time cells divide when the two copies of the cell’s DNA need to be separated. Using computer animation based on molecular research we are now able to see how DNA is actually copied in living cells. An assembly line of amazing biochemical machines are pulling apart the DNA double helix and cranking out a copy of each strand. You actually do judge people on what they believe, evolutionist!
“I know alot of physicist that go from one university to the next to have scientific debates with biologist about evolution. Biology is unstable and people with real brains take physics over the other.”
You stated a personal opinion then use that opinion to try and state a fact (in your eyes)
I’m not trying to get a rise out of you. I wanted to make the point that if you are going to argue, at least use the right words

It was actually a test to see how college know it alls freak out when someone challenges their beliefs and interpretations, congrats, you are officially a moron
May 15th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Have you even been paying attention? How AT ALL is this conversation about challenging beliefs? I was challenging your thought process at which you derived your original post from.
I have seen this “It was actually a test” reply before. It usually happens when someone gets backed into a wall and has no reply to a given argument, BUT if it is true that you were just “testing” me, you really need to get a life outside of posting bogus comments on youtube. This really shows your maturity

holy shit dude i DO NOT CARE. If you think you have me in some kind of corner then sure whatever you want just shut the hell up and get over it.
May 15th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
If you do not care then why have you bothered to respond to all of my comments? Your changing your mind through the length the conversation, it seems that you “cared” in your first rebuttals, but just want to get it over with now. You seem to be taking this a little to personally. Calm down.

Incredible! The machinery of life is amazing.

WOW that is amazing.

2:26 what I would like to know is: the thing that has the blue moving arms that moves the helicase the helicase & the copying bits etc. how does that know what to do? how is its actions to uniform? if this structure manages dna, what manages it?
June 28th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
This is a big generalization as its too much info but Helicase is essentially managed by genes and other proteins that receive chemical stimuli. This leads to the increase or decrease in replicating protein concentrations.
The Helicase doesn’t “know” how to do anything. It is a chemical process. Certain chemical reactions lead to changes in the physical structure of the proteins and thus changes in affinity for one another. Check out a genetics or Biochem book. It will answer your questions.

Absolutley amazing animation!

Excellent !!! Very good way to show how the DNA works.
Loved It

This just blew my mind. I never thought of DNA replication in terms of machinery. This is utterly fascinating.

human beings are amazing, our creation is amazing….
November 16th, 2009 at 5:18 pm
what i want to know is how mechanism and chemistry equate consciousness.
we as human beings are truly fascinating.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
and there are people who believe that this all created itself from nothing! I mean the chances of this to happen beats the age of the universe itself..
November 21st, 2009 at 11:31 pm
WOW!! No way this evolved!!! All hail King Jesus the Creator!!
November 24th, 2009 at 11:58 am
No, youre wrong, all hail to the flying spaghetti Monster !!

Nor Christians nor Evolutionists are right, we were made by electronic aliens millions of years ago that put us in a planet to look at as as an experiment. It’s worth adding that those electronic aliens were made by Harry Potter.
Come on people, it’s a fact!

By the way, those proteins need to quit caffeine.

I would really like you to explain why proteins need to quit caffeine.

yohohohohoho that was really outstanding
